Louis Vuitton, with a touch of the southwest

David Beckham backstage stopped in front of the Louis Vuitton show on Wednesday, and as Marc Jacobs. Kim Jones, men's designer was busy with views of the models. "Can someone the wire?" He shouted, and someone appeared with a pair of scissors to remove a wire on a jacket.

If Mr. Jones explained that the starting point for their spring collection was America, I naturally said, "Where?" He said something about Las Vegas is an important market for Vuitton, then quickly explained that he visited Houston, Austin, Marfa and Phoenix. He loved Austin. In his travels he has some vital organs such as weathered plaid shirts, scarves, jackets of the field geologists and scouts (with patches), jackets, jewelry and turquoise ball gown worn absorbed. To decorate holes setbacks, he had someone craft tender stems of wild flowers and wheat on springs.

Cathy Horyn reports on the start and runway shows.

Wherever Mr. Jones goes, he never loses sight of the sensitivity Vuitton. I love a print bandana, Jones turned them into folders, including an oversized version that recalls a caftan, as well as scarves and ties. These altered plaid shirts? He created a slightly oversized shirt in super-fine, washed cotton. A sporty jackets red, white and blue tiles was actually a swimsuit that makes travel easy. A dark blue silk printing through the night sky in Joshua Tree National Park was inspired, he said. Some of the accessories include woven or perforated trays, silver tie clips or clothespins flowers, stylish aluminum cases for laptops and leather straps patchwork of tin.

What Mr. Jones was distilled American Elements book is a casual attitude, a natural.
